Welcome to Kempsey Regional Support

Kempsey Regional Support is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation offering a range of flexible support solutions to suit the individual needs of people with a disability and their families/carers. Our options give the person with a disability access to different and interesting opportunities and activities throughout the Kempsey Macleay and surrounding areas.

KRS has direct care workers and volunteers who enable the organisation to deliver effective, high quality service.

Kempsey Regional Support defines support as:
Providing support to the family/carer in their caring role. This support is delivered collaboratively, flexibly, within available resources and is responsive to the families individual needs.

Children

Kempsey Regional Services provides Flexible Respite Support to people with a disability, their families and carers using both volunteers and support workers.

Respite support to carers by offering people with a disability, opportunities to participate in community activities. Programs are supported by volunteer/support workers.

Direct Support Workers

Kempsey Regional Services has a number of casual and volunteer direct support workers whose primary role is the provision of direct respite support to people with a disability. .

Our Partners

Kempsey Regional Support is committed to working with other services to make sure that people with support needs and their families receive the highest level of support to meet their individual needs. We will work closely with organisations such as Riding for the Disabled, Meals on Wheels, Centacare, Macleay Options, Booroongen Djugun Ltd, Commonwealth Respite & Carelink Centre, local schools, Macleay Community Care and others to ensure a consistent approach in supporting people. We want to share our passion by collaborating with organisations who share our vision and goals.

Kempsey Regional Support is an active and integral part of the local community, helping to build connections, establish networks and create communities of like-minded people. We work hard to create opportunities for a person with support needs to join in community based activities while also provide a break for local carers.
